ANNAPOLIS, MD. - The Lafayette swimming and diving team resumed their season today at the Navy Invite. The meet was not scored.

On the women's side, Grace Boghosian had the highest finish on the day, finishing fourth overall in the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:45.42. She also came back later in the day to also finish sixth in the 200 yard butterfly in a final time of 2:12.55. Finishing behind her in 7th place in the event was Lily Buckley in a final time 2:14.03.

The next best finish on the day came from the 200 yard freestyle relay team, finishing fifth overall in a time of 1:16.48. Leading the way in the event was the foursome of Ashleigh Anzevino, Shaniya Newton, Katie Blaisure, and Anya Pelshaw.

Martha Seaver also had a successful day for the Leopards, finishing eighth overall in the 500 yard freestyle in a final time of 5:22.91. Finishing 13th in the race was Kirstin Jakober, in a final time of 5:35.56.

Another top ten finish came from Meghan Inglis, finishing ninth overall in the 100 yard backstroke in a final time of 1:00.01. Finishing behind Inglis in 14th place was Hope Boldizar in a time of 1:01.00. Boldizar also came back later in the day to finish 11th in the 200 yard backstroke in a final time of 2:16.66.

Madeline Seybold also had a solid meet, finishing 10th overall in the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:33.12. She also came back later, finishing 12th in the 100 yard breaststroke in a time of 1:08.40. 

On the men's side, the highest finish on the day came from Sean Robinson, finishing sixth overall in the 200 yard breaststroke in a final time of 2:09.82. Robinson also came back later in the meet to finish 10th in the 100 yard breaststroke in a time of 58.98. Finishing ninth in the 200 yard breaststroke was Matt Cummings in a time of 2:13.17.

The next highest finish on the day came from Jacob Leddy, finishing seventh overall in the 1650 yard freestyle in a final time of 17:17.60.

Ethan Keyes also provided a solid day for the Leopards, finishing eighth overall in the 200 yard backstroke in a final time of 1:59.63.

Another strong finish on the day came from Kyle Goodwill, as he finished ninth overall in the 200 yard IM in a closing time of 1:59.36.

Dylan Phee also had a strong day for Lafayette, finishing 10th overall in the 200 yard butterfly in a final time of 2:03.57. He also finished 14th overall in the 100 yard butterfly in a time of 54.08.

The Leopards return to action on on Wednesday, February 16th at the Patriot League Championships. The meet concludes on Saturday, February 19th.
