LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.- The Lafayette men's and women's tennis squads traveled to Rider on Friday with opening serve going up at 4 p.m. The men's squad totaled a score of 3-1 while the women tied the Broncs 3-3 before the matches were called due to darkness.
"Both teams played and competed very well for the first dual match," said head coach
Ralph Van Ormer. "The fall matches are all about getting prepared for the spring season, so any competition will only help us in the long run."

The women's squad will play at the Loyola Maryland Invitational from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 before both teams close out the fall season at the Bloomsburg Invitational from Oct. 15-16.
