EASTON, Pa.- The Lafayette women's tennis squad hosted Coppin State on Saturday with opening serve at 11 a.m. The Leopards secured a season-opening 6-1 victory. The men's match against the Eagles was postponed to a later date.
"It was a good first win for the women's team," said head coach
Ralph Van Ormer. "I am proud of all the players for competing hard. Everyone can take a little something from this first win, as improvements need to be made for our success this season. We will continue to improve with each match and Doubles will be a huge part of our emphasis in the coming weeks."

The Leopards will travel to Fairfield and Sacred Heart next weekend.
