Biography

2016: One of six Lafayette players to start in all 18 games … caged first collegiate-career goal and dished out an assist in a 3-2 victory on the road at Yale (9/10) … made the game-deciding shot in a 2-1 penalty shootout victory over No. 9-ranked Boston U. (9/23), marking the first win over a top-10 opponent in program history … had a defensive save in the game against Hofstra (9/19) and against No. 19 Albany (10/9).

2015:
Started all 19 games on Lafayette’s backline…was one of eight Leopards to start every game she appeared in… helped lead a defense which allowed one goal or fewer in seven games, including three clean sheets…picked up her first collegiate point with an assist in a 4-3 overtime win at Longwood (9/4)…registered a defensive save in the following game at Liberty (9/6)…named Patriot League Defender of the Week after helping Lafayette to back-to-back 1-0 shutout wins over Colgate (10/31) and Yale (11/1)…her block off a penalty corner in the closing seconds sealed the victory over the Bulldogs…also had a season-high three shots in the Colgate game…had six shots overall on the season, four of which were on goal.

2014:
Started all 17 games on the backline during her sophomore season...made a defensive save against Boston College (8/30).

2013:
Appeared in two games for the Maroon and White...recorded her first shot in a 4-3 victory over Colgate on Oct. 26.

AT LACKAWANNA TRAIL: Furneaux was a four-year letterwinner, team captain and MVP her senior season at Lackawanna Trail High School. She was named to the Wyoming Valley Conference Coaches All-Star Team in 2012. She won the top defensive player award in 2010 and 2011. Furneaux was also a four-year letterwinner in Track and Field and Indoor Hockey and was named the track team's MVP in 2012. She was the class president her freshman, junior and senior years and vice president her sophomore year. Furneaux was also student council president her junior and senior years and worked as a volunteer elementary field hockey coach.
