What advice would you give someone looking to apply to Lafayette?
For any student looking to apply to Lafayette, I would highly recommend signing up for a senior interview. This interview is with a Lafayette senior who works in admissions and it is a great way for you to stick out from the rest of the applicants and get to know the college on a deeper level. You can talk to your interviewer about your interests and life experiences way beyond what is on your resume or Common App. I remember my interview being more like a conversation and I felt super comfortable talking to my interviewer, which made me feel even more excited to apply to Lafayette. It also was an awesome opportunity for me to ask questions about their Lafayette experience.

What are you involved in outside of track and field?
Outside of track and field, I am involved in a variety of organizations and activities. I have a job on campus as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for Intermediate Macroeconomics in which I work with the professor of the course to create lesson plans that will help students integrate the course materials and study skills. I hold regularly scheduled review sessions where I work with the students to review the topics discussed in class and help them master practice problems; I also hold Drop-in hours where students can stop by and ask me questions. In addition to being an SI Leader, I am a Peer-Tutor and am involved in a bunch of organizations like the Kovalevsky Society, Best Buddies, and the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma.

What is your favorite event in track and field? Why?
My favorite event in track and field is the 5K. I love this event because I have an awesome group of girls to train with and it makes practice so much fun. We are always motivating each other to work hard, stay focused, and push ourselves to be the best runner we can. During races, we work together and it makes competing enjoyable.
