2022: Threw a mark of 42’ 11.5” in the shot put at the Lehigh vs Lafayette meet…threw a mark of 51’ 9.75” in the weight throw at the Lehigh vs Lafayette meet.
2020-21: PL Champs Shot Put 41’ 10.75”...Carol & john Covert Classic Discus 132’ 11”...Lehigh Happy Easter Hammer 145’ 3”...Lafayette Field Fest Javelin 100’ 2”.
2019-20: Placed fifth in both the shot put and weight throw at the Lafayette-Lehigh indoor dual meet...finished eighth in the shot put at the Monmouth Winter Collegiate Invitational...took 18th in the shot put and 23rd in the weight throw at the Patriot League Indoor Championships...outdoor season was cut short due to COVID-19.
At The Pingry School: Won the 2019 and 2018 discus titles at the NJSIAA Non Public A Championships…competed at 2019 Penn Relays…competed at New 2019 Balance Nationals…qualified for the NJSIAA Meet of Champions three times (2019, 2018, and 2017)… won the discus title at the 2019 Skyland Conference (Championships… captured the 2019 and 2018 discus titles at the Somerset County Championships…selected to the 2019 NJ Non-Public A All-State team… earned four varsity letters in outdoor track and field…holds school record in discus…served as captain of the track and field team in 2018 and 2019...Earned 4 Varsity Letters in Swimming… Holds several school records in swimming, including the 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay…qualified for Meet of Champions for swimming three times (2019, 2018, and 2017)…placed sixth in the 50 freestyle at the Meet of Champions…served as captain of the swim team in 2019… earned four varsity letters in water polo…won the state championship in 2017… won “Beast of the East” flight four in 2017… was selected for the Olympic Development Team 2016… selected for the Olympic Development Team in 2018… drafted for the All-Star team in 2018.. led team to third-place finish at Nationals… helped Pingry take second in the state in 2018 and 2019… served as captain of the water polo team in 2019… named the Skyland Conference Scholar Athlete in 2019… won “Richard G. Gradwohl Girls’ Track Award” in 2019… won the 12 Varsity Letter Award…won the “Brendan J. Personal: Daughter of Deirdre and Gerald O’Mara…has an older sister Claire who swims at Yale University...has a younger brother Gerald who will swim at Brown University.
What are your favorite things about Lafayette?
My favorite thing about Lafayette is the sense of community and the pride students take in being a part of it.
What is your favorite event in track and field? Why?
My favorite event is the discus because I love the forms involved and the technique.
What has been your favorite moment while competing for Lafayette?
My favorite experience while competing for Lafayette has been watching our team run the 4x400 relay at our meets, and feeling the energy of the room rise as we support our teammates on the track!
