What has been your favorite moment while competing for Lafayette?

My favorite moment while competing for Lafayette was running in the Patriot League Cross Country Championships in the fall of 2019. Coming in as a freshman who had never run cross country before, the team was extremely welcoming to me and wanted to give me as much advice as they could. During this particular race, it was extremely muddy and cold, but as soon as everyone finished the race, they turned right around and was there to cheer on the rest of the people finishing. Crossing the finish line with all of my teammates supporting me was a great feeling.

What are your favorite things about Lafayette?
My favorite things about Lafayette are the team, the campus, and the professors. This team has been extremely supportive at all times, whether it is for academics, athletics, or simply being there for one another. Also, the campus is absolutely beautiful during all seasons of the year. I am a huge fan of grassy areas, so when I first saw the quad, I fell in love with the campus. Finally, the professors here at Lafayette are amazing. With the small class sizes, you are able to create real connections with the professors and you are able to find out that they truly want you to do well in their class and in your future.

What is your favorite event in track and field? Why?
My favorite event in track and field is the 800m. During my freshman year, every time that I was running the 800, I had at least four other teammates running it with me. Having my own teammates next to me in the race gave me confidence to push myself and PR every single time I ran it. Also, it was a nice switch from only running the mile in high school to running the 800 because it was a totally different mindset for how to race it.
