Harry Lundy is only the second Lafayette basketball
player to have more than 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds
in his three-year career (freshmen were not eligible for
varsity competition). Lundy's total of 1,180 career points
currently puts him 14th all time. His 1,064 rebounds rank
him among the college's best.

A powerful 6'5 center from
Camp Hill, PA, Lundy led the team in scoring for two
seasons and rebounding for three. His best averages were
at 18.5 points as a junior and 18.2 rebounds as a senior,
when he was ranked fourth in the nation in rebounding.
A team captaion, he was selected All-Middle Atlantic
Conference in both seasons. Among Chip's treasured
memories was a 30-point 20-rebound effort in a 82-59
win over American International his senior year. Another
is being named to the All-Opponent Team of the
Philadelphia Big Five following Lafayette's first ever win
in the Palestra earlier that season. A top performer for the
Leopards' track and field team, Lundy's 210-foot, eight-inch
javelin throw once held the Lafayette and Middle Atlantic
Conference record. He was awarded the Class of 1913
Trophy for being the top senior athlete, and the Pepper
Prize for being "Lafayette's ideal" in leadership and citizenship.
