Ryan N. Priest had a prolific football
career at Lafayette College, gaining 2,477 yards
and averaging 5.1 yards per carry in his first
three seasons as a Leopard.
Priest had 23
touchdowns and 4,818 all-purpose yards
(running, receiving, and kickoff and punt
returns) while at Lafayette, earning team
Rookie of the Year laurels in 1982, as well as
team MVP honors in 1983 and 1984. As a
freshman he set a long-standing Lafayette
record with a 92-yard punt return and also
scored a touchdown against Lehigh. An
injury slowed him up his senior season and he
ended his Lafayette career with 2,597 rushing
yards, finishing with the fourth-best rushing
total in Lafayette football history.
