George Tiger played the midfield and
forward positions for the Lafayette men's soccer
program. In 1977, he was honored with the Most
Valuable Freshman Award for the leading scorer
for the off-season indoor soccer team.

In his
sophomore, junior and senior years he was the
team MVP and leading scorer on the squad. At the
time, he was the all-time leading scorer in
Lafayette history with a total of 22 goals and eight
assists. Tiger, at the time, played in the most games
and started the most games as any Leopard soccer
player before him. Along with being named to the
All-East Coast Conference team his final three
seasons, his highest honors came his senior year
when he was named the MVP of the ECC by a
unanimous vote of the coaches and received the
Charles L. Albert `08 Senior Award that is presented
to the top student-athlete in each year's senior class.
After graduating with a degree in economics and
business, Tiger played professional soccer for a
total of eight seasons with the Pennsylvania Stoners
and Pittsburgh Spirit.
