Creative Media and Marketing Internship

Position: Creative Media and Marketing Intern
Hours: Will vary depending on season. Must be willing to work some nights and weekends.
Start/End Date: Interns are accepted throughout the year with start and end dates to be agreed upon by intern and supervisor
Pay: Not applicable (may qualify for academic credit)

Qualifications: Strong working knowledge of social media platforms along with desktop publishing software (Indesign) and photo editing software (Photoshop) 
 
Job Description:
  • Identify strategies and implementation of marketing and promotions for all of Lafayette's 23 athletic programs.
  • Work closely with social media content, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, helping contribute to Lafayette's social media voice and identify trending topics.
  • Play a key part in the organization of Lafayette's social media content package, including the preparation of graphics prior to events, during events and helping to promote wins following victories.
  • Applicant should have a willingness to learn the ins and outs of Daktronics LED video board displays and understand the use of video board content during live sporting events. 
  • Strong writing skills and familiarity with live sporting events are a plus. 
  • Instrumental in content creation to shape and promote the Lafayette athletics brand. Developing pieces that promote the Lafayette athletics mission and the successes of our student-athletes in the community, in the classroom and outside of campus.
  • Research and review strategies of competitor organizations and bring forward new content ideas and in-game promotions when appropriate.
  • Foster working relationships with Lafayette's student-athletes, helping to be "in-the-know" when story idea opportunities are presented.
