What advice would you give someone looking to apply to Lafayette?
If someone was looking to apply to Lafayette, I would explain that applying to Lafayette was one of the best decisions I ever made! Even if you aren’t completely sure it’s the right place for you, I recommend applying and attending accepted student day! This is a great opportunity to meet people on the team and to get a better feel for the Lafayette community.
What are your favorite things about Lafayette?
My favorite thing about Lafayette has to be the people I have met, especially the people I’ve met through track. I’ve created lifelong friendships with my teammates and they’ve been extremely supportive throughout this experience. Additionally, due to the small class sizes, I’ve been able to form meaningful relationships with my professors and classmates. Lastly, I love the campus and being located a walk away from downtown Easton.
What has been your favorite moment while competing for Lafayette?
One of my favorite moments while competing for Lafayette was the Lafayette Lehigh dual meet the spring of my sophomore year. There aren’t many schools that still schedule dual meets, which makes the rivalry between Lafayette and Lehigh special to be a part of. During this meet, I was able to run a personal record in the 800, a goal that I had been working towards since my freshman year. Not only did I run well, the entire women’s and men’s team had stand-out performances and everyone was supporting each other throughout the day. To make it even better, the men’s team beat Lehigh! This was a huge accomplishment for the program and so much fun to be a part of.
