What advice would you give someone looking to apply to Lafayette?
The advice that I would give to someone looking to apply to Lafayette is to learn as much about the school as possible. Email the department head of the major/minors that you’re interested in, schedule an interview with the admissions department, take tours of the campus, and most of all, talk to current students! No one knows the campus and academic life here better than the students. Demonstrate to the college that you’re interested, including the coaches!Â
What are your favorite things about Lafayette?
One of my favorite things about Lafayette is late-night dinner with my teammates after a long practice. The entire distance squad shuffles into Upper Farinon dining hall and we all sit at a super long table in the middle of the dining hall. Nothing is more relaxing than goofing off with your friends after a long day of classes and practice before it’s homework time. Another one of my favorite things is the close bonds that I have made with some of the professors within my major, biology. The department has been so helpful when it comes to job/internship references, assistance with graduate school preparation, setting me up in a cancer research lab where I hope to complete a thesis, and even hiring me for a job that I love, which is caring for the research animals on campus.Â
