Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette because there was a perfect balance between academics and athletics. I knew that going to Lafayette for a science related major would give me academic security as well as a better learning environment as the class sizes are smaller and more personal. Additionally, I fell in love with not only the campus but also the cross country and track team when I had an official overnight visit, it helped to ensure that Lafayette was the school for me.Â
What is your favorite event in track? Why?
My favorite event in track is the 3200. I prefer longer distance running because to me an event such as the 800 is very mental, and easy to get worked up about as there is such little room for error. When running a longer distance event such as the 3200, there is plenty of time to catch up to your opponents and even strategize during the race, not having to worry or panic if you had a bad start or if something small goes wrong.Â
