What are your plans after Lafayette?
My plans after Lafayette are to continue studying English literature and education in grad school. I eventually hope to end up teaching English (at some level) and coaching running (at some level).
What advice would you give to someone looking to apply to Lafayette?
The advice I would give to someone applying to Lafayette is to really have a look at the surrounding area. The setting and location was something I never really considered before coming to Lafayette, but the network of trails, availability of hills, scenic runs, and general fun things to do around the Lehigh Valley has been integral to my college and running experience at Lafayette.
What are you involved in outside of cross country?
Outside of cross country, I am involved in the College Writing Program working as a Writing Associate with a specified class and professor to assist students in their writing. I am also a member of the Philosophy club.Â
What has been your favorite moment while competing for Lafayette?
My favorite moment while competing for Lafayette was the Paul Short Run my junior year in 2019. We had a time goal of getting five guys under 26:00 minutes — we put 6 under 26:00. I’ll never forget the continuous parade of our guys coming in one after the other, each separated by five or so seconds. It started as a hug of the top two finishers, and then the third, and then fourth, and by the sixth we all were yelling in excitement. My parents and sister were there, too, which just further added to it being my favorite moment. Finding your teammates after slightly losing contact with them mid race made everything feel so worth it.
