Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette because it allowed me to athletically compete at the highest level while still studying to get a top notch education. I knew as soon as I walked down those steps, past the football stadium, to the Kirby Center that I wanted to be here.

What is your favorite event in track? Why?
My favorite event in track is the 3200m. It's the perfect blend between speed, tactics, and endurance. The 3200 also gave me my first varsity opportunity my sophomore year to compete at district.

High School: Outdoor track All-Patriot District and All-Region honors in 3200m... Cross country All-District honors... Won the Alexandria City Championships... Placed third in the district in indoor track in 1600 and 3200... Fourth in 3200 at regionals, receiving All-District honors for both and All-Regional for 3200... Won 3200 at outdoor district meet... Anchored 4x800 to a fifth-place finish and a state qualifying time of 8:02 at regionals... Three-year varsity letterman.

Personal: Son of Charles Kotuby Jr and Rebecca Kotuby... Has a sister, Ellie, who plays soccer at Bryn Mawr College... Has a younger brother going into his sophomore year of high school.
