Ashley Mendonca-Cossetti

Ashley Mendonca enters her second season working with the Lafayette College field hockey staff as an assistant coach for the 2022 season.

Mendonca comes to Lafayette College from the University of New Hampshire, where she graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sports Studies. Mendonca is working to obtain her Master's degree in Exercise and Sport Studies, from Smith College.

Mendonca brings a robust resume to Lafayette College after a decorated playing career.  A member of the U21 Canadian National Team from 2010-17 and the Senior Women's Indoor Canadian Women's National Team (2016-2017), Mendonca served as a captain at the University of New Hampshire in 2017 and was a two-time NFHCA Northeast Region Second Team Selection.  In her time with the Wildcats, she was chosen to the America East All-Championship Team, All-Division Team, All-Rookie Team, and named a Fan's Choice Player of the Year nominee.  Additionally, the Brampton, Ontario native was an assistant coach at UNH in 2018, graduate assistant at Smith College (2019) and worked as a club director with Cape Ann Field Hockey Club in Worcester, Massachusetts from 2019-2021.

Mendonca also holds USAFH Level II Coaching Credentials.
