Jennifer Stone enters her 13th season at the helm of the Maroon and White during the 2025-26 academic year. The 2004 College Hill graduate had previously spent six years as an assistant with the Leopards after finishing her playing career as one of the most successful players in program history.

Field hockey had a historic season in fall 2024, completing a 14-7 (5-1 PL) record. Stone led the program to a first-round Division I NCAA playoff berth after securing the Leopards’ first Patriot League Championship since 2012. For the title on Nov. 9, Lafayette defeated American, 2-1, in overtime thanks to efforts from the program’s first ever First Team All-American, Tournament MVP and Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, Lineke Spaans. The No. 21 Leopards chased down milestones such as Stone’s 100th career victory at the helm (5-0 against Boston U. on Oct. 25), a league-high six All-Patriot League honorees, four All-Mideast Region selections and nine players of the week. Academically, the team, which included two NFHCA Scholars of Distinction, two All-Academic Patriot League athletes and 13 National Academic squad members, posted a conference-high 24 players on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and was titled a National Academic Team by the NFHCA for its 3.53 grade-point average.

To kick off the 2023 slate, Lafayette earned two Preseason All-Patriot League selections in juniors India Ralph and Lineke Spaans. The program finished with a 12-7 overall record (5-1 PL), making its way to the conference tournament final. The No. 2 Leopards bested No. 3 Boston U., 3-2, in overtime before falling to top-seeded American, 1-0, on Nov. 4. In total, Lafayette collected a league-high four All-Region laurels and five All-Patriot League players, one All-American, seven NFHCA DI National Academic honors and two Academic All-Patriot League members.

In 2022, Lafayette faced a tough non-conference schedule with foes including  #20 Wake Forest, #7 Princeton and #5 Penn State as well as the Patriot League's #22 American. The Leopards finished at 7-11 overall with a 3-3 conference record; victories included a 3-2 overtime game at #7 Princeton, a 4-3 senior day versus the University of Richmond and a 2-0 win against the PLT's top-seeded Boston U. The squad was named a NFHCA Division I National Academic Team and had 14 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad selections, with three four-year undergraduate honorees. Lafayette had three Patriot League players of the week in Simone Hefting (3), Raffi Fragomeni (2) and Josephine van Wijk (1). Hefting, Molly McAndrew and Lineke Spaans were tabbed to the 2022 Patriot League Preseason All-League Team, as well as the Patriot Leaue First Team (Hefting/Spaans) and Second Team (McAndrew). Hefting and Felicitas Hannes excelled on the field and in the classroom to earn a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team. Both Hefting and Spaans were NFHCA Division I Second Team All-Mideast Region selections. Additionally, Hefting was chosen as the 2022 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and a 2022 Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division I Senior Team member. Alex Darrah and Aimee Hoefnagel closed out the season accolades as the Leopards' 2022 NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction.

Returning to regularly scheduled play, Stone led the Leopards to an astonishing 14-6 overall (4-2 PL) record in 2021. Lafayette met top-seeded American in the Patriot League title game after a thrilling overtime victory over No. 3 Bucknell in the semifinal round. She coached three All-League players that year, including Magadan, who was named to the U.S. National Team following her career under Stone's tutelage after garnering All-Region and All-American accolades.

During her seven seasons at the helm, the Maroon and White have made the Patriot League Tournament on four occasions. A force in the conference each and every year, Stone has coached a total of 26 All-Patriot League selections, averaging 3.7 per year.

As a player, the Newtown, Pennsylvania native started every game of her career and is third in the Leopard record books in career points (135) and career goals (51), while sitting second in career assists (33).
