Maura Schimp is in her first year with the Leopards as an assistant coach for the 2023-24 academic year.

Schimp came to College Hill after serving as the assistant coach for the Saint Louis Billikens from January 2019 to fall 2022.

A December 2018 graduate from American University in Washington, D.C., Schimp was a standout student-athlete for the Eagles' field hockey team. She graduated as one of the top goalkeepers in American University and Patriot League history, closing her career with 214 saves, a 1.63 goals against average and a .702 save percentage. Schimp was named the 2018 Patriot League Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Year and was named the league's Goalkeeper of the Week eight times. She helped the Eagles to the Patriot League championship in 2016 and a win in the NCAA Tournament that year.

A native of New Cumberland, Pa., Schimp earned a bachelor's in Public Relations and Strategic Communications.
