2019-20: Placed eighth in the mile at the Monmouth Winter Collegiate Invitational...finished 22nd in the 3000M at the Patriot League Indoor Championships...outdoor season was cut short due to COVID-19.
2018-19: Won the 3000 Steeplechase at the Coach Pollard...placed 12th in the 3000 Steeplechase at the Patriot League Championships...finished fifth in the indoor 3000M at the Monmouth Winter Collegiate Invitational...took eighth in the indoor 1000M at the Bison Open...finished 26th in the 3000M at the Patriot League Indoor Championships.
2017-18: Finished 18th in the 3000 Steeplechase at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships.
Personal: Son of Thomas and Marisa Neeson...younger sister Molly also runs for the University of Scranton.
What are your plans after Lafayette?
I am not totally sure yet, but I am currently applying for jobs all over the place in hopes of landing one after graduation.
What advice would you give someone looking to apply to Lafayette?
As far as advice, I would definitely try to come to campus for an interview. Not only will you get a good feel for what the campus is like when the student body is here, but a good interview can also greatly help with your application process.
What are you involved in outside of track and field?
Outside of track and field, I am a part of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. The group hosts a ton of events throughout the year that help you get to know your fellow students and faculties really well.
What is your favorite event in track and field? Why?
My favorite event in track and field is the 3K steeplechase is my favorite event. The hurdles are an additional interesting challenge, and the water pit is super refreshing when its hot on race days.
What has been your favorite moment while competing for Lafayette?
My favorite moment while competing at Lafayette was the
Patriot League Championships at Colgate during the 2019 season. Everybody ran very well and we finished higher in the league than we had in quite some time. I was super proud of everyone and it was a wonderful experience to be a part of.
