Chris Chang joined the Leopard swimming and diving staff as an assistant coach for the 2026-27 season.

Bringing more than 20 years of competitive swimming coaching experience, he most recently served as Lead Coach for the Senior 3 group at Greater Somerset County YMCA (GSCY), where he worked with athletes ages 15–18 on technical development, training, race preparation, goal setting and championship performance. During his tenure, he helped develop multiple YMCA National Qualifiers and contributed to GSCY's national success, including team championships at the 2024 YMCA Long Course Nationals and 2026 YMCA Short Course Nationals.

Prior to GSCY, Chang served as Lead Coach at Metuchen-Edison YMCA, where he helped develop multiple YMCA National Champions, YMCA National Qualifiers, three US Open Qualifiers and an Olympic Trials Qualifier. He also served as an Assistant Coach at St. Joseph High School, helping the program win its 22nd NJSIAA State Championship in 2006. As a swimmer, Chang was a member of three NJSIAA State Championship teams at St. Joseph before competing collegiately at Towson University.
