What are your favorite things about Lafayette?
Some of my favorite things about Lafayette are the people and the environment. I love the small school feel, and knowing so many of the people that you pass by. And it is those people who make Lafayette the college that it is. I love my team and my teammates, and have also made friends outside of the team. The smaller class sizes make Lafayette more of a community, and allow students to build relationships with our professors.
What is your favorite event in track and field? Why?
My favorite track event is the 3K, although I am very excited to try the 5K and maybe even the 10K eventually. In high school, I ran the 3200 meter race a lot, so it was easy to move to racing the 3K. In general I just love the longer distances where I can find my pace and hold it there while racing.
What has been your favorite moment while competing for Lafayette?
I can’t pick my favorite moment while competing for Lafayette, because I love the environment of a meet. I remember cheering for the 4x800 relay at Patriot League Indoor Championships, which was held at Lehigh this past year, alongside a bunch of my teammates. There is so much energy and excitement, and also so much support coming from our team. Earlier that day, I had been racing the 3K, and every time I came around the first curve, so many teammates were right there cheering me on. I would look forward to making that turn, knowing their cheering would help me race harder. I think that says a lot about our team at Lafayette, and makes me proud to be a part of this team.
