2024-25: Indoor - 32nd in 300 meters (46.64) at Rutgers Holiday Classic… 17th in 60-meter hurdles (11.50) and 17th in high jump (4’ 5”) at Moravian Invite… Sixth in high jump (4’ 2”) at Lehigh… 23rd in 60-meter hurdles (11.26) at Fast Track Invite… 15th in 200 meters (28.28) at Bucknell Tuneup.
Outdoor - 18th in long jump (13’ 11.5”) at Bob Davidson Team Challenge… Ninth in high jump (4’ 3.5”), 15th in 200 meters (28.48), 12th in long jump (14’ 6.75”) and 11th in 100-meter hurdles (18.70) at Lafayette Open… Fourth in high jump (4’ 3.5”) and fifth in pole vault (7’ 10.5”) vs. Lehigh… 12th in heptathlon (3,052 points) at Navy Spring Invite… 21st in 200 meters (28.18) at Covert Classic.
Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette because of its long history of academic excellence, as well as the impressive track and field program. I appreciate the charming and historic campus. I’m looking forward to being part of the Patriot League, and I like that many of the schools are geographically close to each other.
What is your favorite event in track? Why?
My favorite event in track and field is pole vault! I decided to give it a go my senior year of high school, and while I’m not anywhere close to an elite level vaulter, I still have a lot of fun with the event. Shooting yourself up in the air and clearing a bar is so satisfying, and so is the feeling of conquering the fear of bigger poles.
High School: NCHSAA State Championship contest participant in four high school sports: tennis, indoor track & field, swimming, and outdoor track & field... 15x Conference Champion and 14x County Champion across various high school sports... Voted Mid-Piedmont Conference Swimmer of the Year (Grade 12)... Women’s Decathlon Champion at “Raven Relays and Multi Championships” in Raleigh NC, NC #2 All-Time, (Grade 11)... “Most Versatile Athlete” (Grades 10 and 11)... School’s “Athlete of the Year” (Grade 12)... School swim record holder in the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.28) and the 100 meter butterfly (1:15.61)... Completed in AAU Junior Olympics in the Heptathlon, finishing first in the 800m run out of 54 competitors (2:26.77)... Highlighted as Athlete of the Week in the newspapers The Thomasville Times and The High Point Enterprise... Earned All-County Band honors every year of middle and high school in mallet percussion... Served as high school graduation speaker... Voted “Miss Ledford” by high school student body... Voted “Outstanding Senior”...
