Lafayette College Athletics

Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette because of the strong academics, athletics, community, and size. Community and athletics go hand in hand at Lafayette as both are firmly intertwined in the school culture. The sense of community at Lafayette isn’t exclusive to the track. I attended an economics lecture on my campus visit and the professor showed me the same welcoming feeling and friendliness as I experienced with the track team. Finally, the size of the student body and average class size at Lafayette makes me feel a lot more comfortable and excited about attending. I find this setting appealing as I have attended relatively small schools all my life. I thrive in environments such as this and find a more interactive classroom setting to be beneficial.

What is your favorite event in track? Why?
My favorite event in track is the 400-meter hurdles because it requires speed and endurance while still needing agility to clear each hurdle which complements my long and lean build.
