Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette because in addition to its outstanding academics, I felt like I was joining a close knit community where I would be able to connect with other students with similar interests.
What is your favorite event in track? Why?
My favorite events are the middle distance races, especially the 800 because it’s fast but just long enough to be tactical. I also really enjoy the challenge.
High School: Named Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) Class M outdoor 800m champion (2024, 2025)… All-State outdoor track (2024, 2025)… CIAC Class S Runner Up in the indoor 1000m (2025)… Multiple time Naugatuck Valley League (NVL) champion including 1000m, 800m, and 1600m… 600m and 1000m school record holder… Named team MVP multiple times for cross country and indoor/outdoor track and field… Earned four varsity letters in cross country and indoor/outdoor track… Member of National Honor Society... Secretary of Mu Alpha Theta... President of Science National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Dave and Bridget Carnemolla... Has a younger sister, Leah... Born 3/18/2007.
