What are you involved in outside of track and field?
Outside of track and field, I serve as a writing associate, where I work as a writing tutor supporting students across a variety of disciplines to improve their writing skills. I am also a research assistant in Professor Hallock’s neuroscience lab, a saxophonist for Lafayette's Latin jazz ensemble, Conjunto Marqués, and a founding member of Nu Rho Psi, Lafayette’s neuroscience honor society.

What are your favorite things about Lafayette?
My favorite things about Lafayette are the meaningful friendships I have built and the exceptional academic opportunities and support the College provides. 

What is your favorite event in track? Why?
The steeplechase is my favorite event in track because the combination of hurdles and distance running always keeps me motivated and on my toes.

High School: Named All-State, All-Region and All-District in cross country and track all four years… Placed ninth at VHSL 6A Cross Country State Championships… Finished eighth at VHSL 6A Outdoor Track & Field State Meet… Holds second all-time performance in VHSL 2k steeplechase… Nine-time New Balance Nationals competitor... Member of VHSL 6A Cross Country State runner-up team… Won Liberty District titles in 3200 for both indoor and outdoor seasons... Named Langley High School’s cross country MVP... Captain of Langley High School track & field and cross country teams… Awarded 14 varsity letters in track, cross country and band… Recipient of Girl Scout Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards… Co-President of Langley High School Executive Board… President of Military Buddies Club… Member of French Honor Society… Performed in both jazz band and marching  band throughout high school… Recognized on the A/B Honor Roll... Awarded the Virginia Seal of Biliteracy… Received Early College Scholar Certificate, Civics Seal and Service Seal from Commonwealth of Virginia… Current research assistant at Black Rock Forest.
