Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette because of the combination of many reasons. Firstly, I believe the academics at Lafayette will challenge me and set me up well for my future endeavors. In addition, the coaching staff is very experienced and welcoming. I feel that their coaching will help me excel. Finally, the members of the team are so inviting and supportive. I believe that it is a community where I can succeed.
What is your favorite event in track? Why?
My favorite track event is the hammer throw. I like it because it is a combination of both power and technique that favors those who work hard.
High School: Westchester County champion in both the weight throw and shot put… Section 1 Class B champion in both weight throw and shot put… Section 1 champion in the weight throw... NYSPHSAA Championship qualifier in the weight throw… New Balance and Nike Nationals Indoor Qualifier... All-league, All-County, and All-Section in the winter season… Named team MVP at the end of the indoor season… Westchester County runner-up in the hammer throw… New Balance Nationals Qualifier… All-County and All-Section in the spring… Andrew Lagreca Track and Field Scholarship recipient… IB Diploma recipient… National Honor Society member for all four years of high school… Earned 4 varsity letters for indoor and outdoor track... Second place all-time at Somers Senior High School in both the hammer throw and weight throw.
