Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette because I wanted a smaller school with incredible academics whilst having the ability to throw, have a supportive community and explore the world. 

What is your favorite event in track? Why?
My favorite event in track is discus because as a spectator it’s super fun to watch the expert form meld into the distances thrown. At a personal level, I have been throwing it since sixth grade and it is the event that I have become closest with, and the event that has taken me the furthest.

High School: Won the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) Midwestern League outdoor conference championship in discus in 2022, 2023 and 2024… Placed second in the OSAA 5A State Championships junior and senior year… Named second team all-state my junior and senior year… Highschool record holder of hammer throw… Third all-time in high school for discus… Placed sixth at the Oregon Relays for discus… Earned four varsity letters for track… Member of Churchill High school (CHS) Youth Action Council… Competed In CHS’s Unified Basketball Program for two years and Unified Robotics for one… Member of Japanese National Honor Society… Member of No Place for Hate for one year… Graduated through International High School… Graduated with an IB diploma.
