Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette because I knew undergraduate research was definitely something I wanted to experience in college and for me it was Lafayette’s EXCEL Scholars Program that made their undergraduate research shine. I also felt extremely welcomed by all of the coaching staff and professors I had the opportunity to speak with which made me feel that Lafayette was the best environment for me to grow both academically and athletically.
What is your favorite event in track? Why?
My favorite event in track is the 800-meter run because I like the challenge that it presents, making it much more rewarding when you cross the finish line. I also like that strategy comes into play with this race having to ensure that you get yourself in the best position right off the gun to set yourself up for a good race and you have to figure out how to strike a perfect balance between going out fast in the first lap but not too fast so that you still have enough steam to finish.
