Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette for 2 main reasons: the people within the Lafayette community and the academics. When I first became interested in Lafayette what stood out to me most was how easy it was to get in touch with the school. Coach was realistic and open about the recruiting process and it drew me in immediately. The students and alumni I had talked to were also welcoming and I felt a connection to Lafayette and Easton greater than any other college/college town I had visited. The academics are easily the biggest factor as to why I chose to attend Lafayette. I had found that every program and major is rigorous and when I landed on integrative engineering I knew I'd be set up for success.  

What is your favorite event in track? Why?
Shotput is my favorite event in track and field because it is my greatest indicator of growth. The sport is powerful, explosive and takes dedication. When I work hard in the weight room and at practice it translates the greatest into my PBs and it always feels like a massive reward. I enjoy the balance between both physical and mental strength and intricate technique that always has room for improvement.
