What are your plans after Lafayette?
My plans after Lafayette are to continue studying English literature and education in grad school. I eventually hope to end up teaching English (at some level) and coaching running (at some level).
What advice would you give to someone looking to apply to Lafayette?
The advice I would give to someone applying to Lafayette is to really have a look at the surrounding area. The setting and location was something I never really considered before coming to Lafayette, but the network of trails, availability of hills, scenic runs, and general fun things to do around the Lehigh Valley has been integral to my college and running experience at Lafayette.
What are you involved in outside of track and field?
Outside of track and field, I am involved in the College Writing Program working as a Writing Associate with a specified class and professor to assist students in their writing. I am also a member of the Philosophy club.Â
What is your favorite event in track and field? Why?
My favorite event in track and field has definitely been the outdoor 5K. Although the cross country 8k has my heart, there is something so perfect about a 5K on the track. COVID has limited my opportunities to race this event, but I will always remember my Dad giving me advice before my first 5K at Moravian: relax and settle the first two miles, and then attack the third as hard as you can. What a great way to race!
