Why did you choose Lafayette?
I chose Lafayette because I liked the small size and friendly, welcoming community I experienced on my tour. I was also attracted by the quality of the science department, particularly the prestigious engineering program which I hope to be a part of.

What is your favorite event in track? Why?
My favorite event is the 400 hurdles because it requires more than just pure speed to win, as it requires technique and mental toughness as well.

High School: 1st team all conference… 400 hurdles… 6th place group 3 north 2 sectionals… 6th place Morris County 400 hurdles… 6th place Morris County 600m run… Team captain indoor and outdoor season… Team MVP outdoor senior year… Member of National Honors Society.

Personal: Son of Dave Barban and Cindy Barban... Has a younger brother/sister, Kate... Born on January 2, 2004.
