Lafayette College Athletics

Colin Abert joined the Lafayette cross country and track & field staff as a volunteer assistant coach in the fall of 2025. 

Before coming to College Hill, Abert ran for Minnesota Distance Elite, a professional distance running club based in Minneapolis, for four years. 

Abert starred at Penn State University where he eclipsed the four minute mile barrier and was a multiple time finalist and point scorer in the Big 10 conference. 

A 2015 Easton Area High School graduate, Abert had a decorated running career for the Red Rovers, placing as the Pennsylvania state runner up in both cross country, and the 3200m in track & field. He is also the current Easton High School school record holder in 1600m, 3200m, and 5K races and became only the second high school runner to ever crack the 15:00 5K mark at Lehigh University’s cross country course. 

Abert currently resides in Forks Township.
