Elizabeth Makar joined Lafayette Sports Medicine in August of 2025, primarily working as an assistant athletic trainer with men's basketball and tennis.
Makar is a NATABOC and Pennsylvania certified athletic trainer. In addition, she also holds certifications in first aid, sport and exercise massage and casting and bracing.
Makar's athletic training experience includes working as an athletic training graduate assistant at East Stroudsburg, a position she was in from August 2024 to August 2025. For her clinical experience as a student, Makar worked under the sports medicine department at Lafayette, as well as high schools in Stroudsburg and Bangor.
Makar earned her bachelor of science in athletic training in May of 2024 and master of athletic training in August of 2025 from East Stroudsburg in East Stroudsburg, Pa.
