Michael Shiffert '18 took over the role of Director of Equipment Services in Aug. 2022.

Prior to returning to his alma mater, Shiffert spent the last three school years as the assistant equipment manager at Lehigh, while focusing on football and men’s lacrosse..  

Shiffert was responsible for daily laundry service for student-athletes, practice setup, distribution of equipment and uniforms, gameday setup and management for the football and men’s lacrosse programs while also providing support for wrestling, baseball, softball and women’s lacrosse programs.  

Prior to taking over the assistant equipment manager role, he served as the director of football operations at Lehigh from 2018-19. He coordinated all team travel and meals while assisting with game day operations and recruiting. 

Shiffert’s time on College Hill covered the 2014-17 seasons when he served as the team’s long snapper and short snapper. Shiffert played in all but four games during his career. In his junior campaign, he earned the team’s Unsung Hero Award, adding that to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections in multiple seasons. Following his senior season, Shiffert was selected as a National Football Foundation scholar-athlete. 

The native of Nazareth, Pa., Shiffert earned his bachelor’s degree from Lafayette in psychology in 2018 and is working to complete his master’s of education degree in educational leadership at Lehigh.
