Patrick Roche was hired in 2021 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Currently, Roche is responsible for working with the football program.
Roche oversees the medical needs, evaluations, diagnoses, treatments and rehabilitations of student-athletes.
From the spring of 2023 to the present, Roche has been the head athletic trainer for football for which his responsibilities include day-to-day operations, organization and management of NCAA drug testing, organization of weekly physician clinics on campus, overseeing clinical interns and work-study students and the coordination of off-campus referrals.
Roche became the Board of Certification approved provider liaison and was responsible for the coordination and approval of the 2023 Patriot League sports medicine meeting for continuing education.
From the fall of 2021 to spring of 2023, Roche was the head trainer for basketball and assistant for football, taking care of day-to-day operations.Â
Prior to College Hill, Roche was on the athletic training staff at Moravian University (2019-2021), working with women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse and men’s and women’s track and field. During his time at Moravian, Roche also organized and oversaw physician clinics by team doctors on campus and organized educational sessions for academic staff, athletic staff, and athletic training students.
Roche received his master’s degree in Athletic Training from Moravian in 2019 after graduating from DeSales University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise physiology.
Roche currently resides in Easton, Pa.
