Sam Kaplan is in her first year at College Hill as a Publicity Assistant after being hired in August 2026. She provides primary sports information coverage for Lafayette’s swimming and diving, cross country and track and field teams as well as secondary coverage for football.

Before joining the Maroon and White, she spent two years with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the Pittsburgh Penguins’ AHL affiliate, interning in both digital and social media as well as graphic design.

Kaplan graduated summa cum laude from Moravian University in spring 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic and interactive design and a minor in communications and media studies.

During her time at Moravian, she was the PR Director for the university’s activities council, overseeing all promotional and social content for the organization while planning inclusive community events for students both on and off campus.

Kaplan currently resides in the Lehigh Valley and enjoys attending concerts, cheering on the New York Rangers, and traveling in her downtime.
