NEWPORT, R.I. - The Lafayette Leopards' women's tennis team was set to open its fall 2007 season this weekend at the ECAC Open at Newport, R.I. Due to a rain delay competition will commence tomorrow at 9 a.m.

Junior Ansley Scudder will open the 2007-08 season against Julie Arthofer of Patriot League foe, Lehigh University, in first singles. In second singles, junior Sarah Sykes will start the competition against Lauren Howard of the University of New Hampshire.

Freshman Allie Seranko will make her collegiate debut at third singles competing against Jessica Bender, a sophomore from Connecticut College. Classmate Rachel Rohinsky will open her Leopard career against Connecticut College freshmen Lacey Hercheck.

Junior Nancy Parker will pair with Bonder at No. 2 doubles in the first flight against UNH pair Jill Federico and Kim Hatch.
