Jonathan Cohn and Frank Fazzinga each shot a 76 to finish in a seven-way tie for fourth place overall and lead Lafayette to a third-place finish in the team standings at the Muhlenberg Fall Classic played at the par 68 Lehigh Country Club.
Fazzinga shot a 34-42--76 that included the lowest score recorded on the front nine, while Cohn fired a 39-37--76, which featured the second lowest score on the back nine in the tournament.
Lafayette finished with a team score of 318, 12 strokes off the first-place effort of the host school, Muhlenberg (306). Susquehanna finished second with a 311, while the College of New Jersey matched Lafayette with a 318.
Other Lafayete scores included Andy Mitchell with a 37-44--81, Joel Goldberg with a 41-44--85, and Derek Downing with a 44-44--88.
Lafayette's fall golf season is now complete. The Leopards next competition is scheduled for March 29, 2001, when they host a quad meet at Northampton Country Club.
