NEW YORK (AP) - Quarterback Mike Mucci scored on a 1-yard run with 4:17 remaining as Fordham beat Lafayette 31-28 on Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak.
Mucci was 18-of-33 for 212 yards and a TD for the Rams (3-6, 1-3 Patriot League). The Leopards (2-7, 1-4) overcame a 24-14 fourth-quarter lead, but couldn't end an 11-game road losing streak.
Marko Glavic was 22-of-31 for 260 yards and a touchdown for Lafayette. He also ran for a score.
Glavic threw a 27-yard TD pass to Phil Yarberough to give Lafayette a 14-0 lead midway through the second quarter. Yarberough finished with seven catches for 147 yards, becoming Lafayette's all-time leader in receiving yards with 2,121 in his career.
The Rams tied it on Mucci's 14-yard scoring pass to Chris Harris and Javarus Dudley's 6-yard run in the third quarter.
Fordham made it 24-14 on Brian Cosant's 30-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter, and Maurice Briscoe's fumble recovery in the end zone.
Lafeyette's Chad Ritchie threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Andy May with 11:01 left, and scored on a 7-yard run with 8:43 to go to give the Leopards a 28-24 lead.
