Senior Frank Fazzinga fired a two-round 156 to lead Lafayette to a 17th place finish at the Cornell Colgate
Invitational over the weekend in Ithaca, N.Y. and Hamilton, N.Y.
Fazzinga shot a seven-over-par 79 in the first round and sliced two strokes for a 77 in
the final round. Fazzinga finished tied for 18th place in the 120-golfer field.
Senior Andrew Mitchell finished in 33rd place with a 159 (82-77), 12 places ahead of teammate Jonathan Cohn who shot a 161 (79-82).
Derek Downing and Joe Goldberg rounded out the Lafayette scoring in 112th and
117th, respectively. Downing shot a 178 (92-86), while Goldberg carded a 181 (92-89).
Binghamton, led by medalist Adam Fuchs (142), won the team title with a score of 611. Lafayette
finished with a 654.
Lafayette returns to action on Sept. 15 and 16, when the Leopards travel to the seventh
annual Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.
