Box Score

PRINCETON QUOTES: Head Coach Roger Hughes, QB Tommy Crenshaw, LB Chris Roser-Jones, LB Mike Higgins

Hughes on the Princeton defense:
"The first half we played pretty poorly on special teams but our defense was secure. We couldn't pull it all together."

Hughes on Lafayette's win:
"They hung in there and played a tough game to win it at the end."

Hughes on Tavani's decision to start freshman QB Marco Glavic:
"We prepared all week as if last week's starter was in there. But he (Glavic) came in and got them on track for the win."

Hughes on how his team will deal with the loss:
"These kids hung in there and played their tails off. We will correct our mistakes and be a good football team."

Higgins on Princeton's loss:
"I think we're all disappointed that we didn't play very well. We'll put this loss behind quick and move ahead to next week's game against Lehigh."

Crenshaw on Princeton going up 7-0 in the first quarter:
"Everyone was confident on what they were doing. Maybe we were too confident going up 7-0. Personally, I thought we were going to wipe this team out at that point but we just watched them take the game from us."

Roser-Jones on the youth and inexperience of the team's secondary:
"We're all just trying to be as much of leaders as we can. We'll be there helping them adjust and make the corrections that need to be made."

LAFAYETTE QUOTES: Head Coach Frank Tavani, QB Marko Glavic, Receiver Phil Yarberough, DB Bryant Ibekwe

Tavani on Lafayette's Win:
"I'm at a loss for words ... happy and proud of these young men. We were 32-2-3 and now we are 32-3, we have gone down in history."

Tavani on what he told players before the game:
"The next play is the most important play and don't look back on the previous play" "We have now become a team. We have learned how to play together and how to play to win. There will be no more conservative games. We will play to win."

Tavani on playing more people:
"Earlier in the week, we made the decision to play more people during the game. At the end of the game, there were some fresh people, therefore they played harder."

Tavani on his reaction to first Lafayette touchdown:
"I play the game with emotion as a coach."

Tavani on the Leopards' defense:
"The 1st half of the game, we had bad field position and to be able to hold the Princeton offense line to such few points. Our defense did a tremendous job."

Glavic on coming into the game:
"I didn't know if I was going to play but I told myself that if I need to play that I needed to have no dumb mistakes."

Yarberough on Princeton:
"We could go long and they tightened up towards the end. You could tell it was their first game."

Yarberough on going for touchdown with 45 sec:
"We have never done it before, so we had to try and do it."

Yarberough on touchdown at end of game:
"I tried to extend my foot as far as possible and still hold onto the ball."

Ibekwe on the game:
"We played one of our best games today."
