Sept. 18, 2000

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette freshman quarterback Marko Glavic (Pickering, Ontario/St. Mary Catholic) earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors after making his collegiate debut this past Saturday in the Leopards' 24-17 victory over Princeton.

Glavic entered the Lafayette (1-1) lineup with 1:36 left in the first half and finished the game with 243 yards on 18-for-30 passing with no interceptions. He had two touchdown passes, including a 66-yard bomb and a game-winning two-yard fade pass with :02 on the clock. He helped set up the game-winning score by completing a 55-yard pass on a third down play in the waning seconds, putting the Leopards at the Princeton 15-yard line.

Glavic, who also rushed for 18 yards on seven carries, helped give Lafayette first-year head coach Frank Tavani his first career victory and record the Leopards' first-ever victory over Princeton at Fisher Field.

Glavic is now ranked 17th among the 122 NCAA Division I-AA football programs in passing efficiency with a 150.0 rating.

Playing its 119th season of college football, Lafayette hits the road for the first time this season when it plays at Pennsylvania this Saturday, Sept. 23, in a 12:30 p.m. kickoff.
