EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette volleyball team lost to Morgan State Saturday in its third and final match of the Delaware/Asics Invitational at the University of Delaware campus. Morgan State (3-13) managed 24 service aces and a .305 hitting percentage to take the 3-0 (15-8, 15-6, 15-12) win.

Lafayette was led on the attack by senior outside hitter and co-captain Michelle Calvo (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) who notched 12 kills and a service ace. Calvo was also a steady presence on the Leopard defense, contributing 11 digs. Fellow classmate and co-captain Melissa Ommundsen (Northport, N.Y./Northport) led Lafayette in assists with 20 while also coming up with 7 digs.

The Leopards (1-11) finished with an 0-3 record in the tournament but will return to their home turf to take on St. Francis (N.Y.) on Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.
