Lafayette Golfers Finish 12th at Binghamton BC Open Invitational

ENDICOTT, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette golf team finished in 12th place at the 2001 Binghamton BC Open Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. The Leopards shot a 661 at the par-72, 7,034-yard En-Joie Golf Club.

Freshman Jeremiah O'Neil (North Andover, Mass./Phillips Academy Andover) led the way with a 79-78-157 to finish tied for 37th. Sophomore Jonathan Cohn (Binghamton, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) shot a 81-85-166 followed by freshman Garett Copp (Mechanic Falls, Maine/Poland Regional) with an 84-82-166 and sophomore Brad Rock (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown) with an 87-85-172.

The team title was won by St. Bonaventure University, which carded a 595 for a one-shot victory over St.Joseph's. The individual championship went to Fordham's Tim Moynihan, who shot a 75-70-145.

This wraps up Lafayette's fall season. Lafayette returns to action March 28 in a home quad match at Northampton Country Club.
