BETHLEHEM, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's basketball team suffered a hard-fought road loss, falling to arch rival Lehigh 69-59.
Tim Bieg led the Leopards (7-13, 1-6 Patriot League) with 18 points, while Frank Barr finished with 15 points and nine rebounds.
Matt Crawford scored a career-high 22 points and added 10 rebounds to lead Lehigh (10-11, 4-3 Patriot League).
A three-pointer by Lehigh's Matt Logie as the shot clock expired midway through the second half shifted the momentum and launched Lehigh's comeback. Lehigh then went on a 16-5 run and never trailed again
Lafayette led at halftime 33-29, but committed an unusually high 24 turnovers and shot just 31 percent from the field.
