EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - In today's tri-match versus Lehigh and Long Island University, Lafayette placed third with a team score of 324, just five strokes behind Lehigh (319). Long Island took the trophy with a team score of 316 on the 6,542-yard Northampton Country Club.

Freshman Derek Downing (St. James, N.Y./Smithtown) led the Leopards with a score of 79. He was followed by freshman teammate Jonathan Cohn (Binghamton, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) who shot an 80. John Semiz (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) finished with a score of 83, while Joel Goldberg (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Henderson) carded an 84.

Lafayette will travel to Annapolis, Md., on April 21-22, to compete in the Patriot League Championships hosted by Navy.
