EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) -
While the Leopards' upperclassmen were moving into their residence halls, the Lafayette football program's Class of 2005 went through practice number three at the College's Metzgar Fields complex.
It was mostly non-contact workouts in the morning, with the equipment consisting of helmets. That changed for the afternoon practice as the freshmen donned shoulder pads and helmets, and began running contact drills.
Once the upperclassmen were moved into their quarters, it was strength testing in the afternoon followed by numerous team meetings in the evening.
Lafayette continues preseason practice until classes begin on Monday, Aug. 27. The Leopards open the 2001 season when they travel to Towson for a Patriot League contest on Sept. 8, at 1 p.m.
