EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Marissa Mullins and Amy Kalista combined for the shutout as Lafayette played to a scoreless tie with Siena on Tuesday afternoon at Metzgar Field.
Mullins made five saves in the first half for the Leopards (5-3-1, 1-0), while Kalista made three saves, including a leaping stop in the first overtime to save a goal.
Siena goalkeeper Noelle Cox played the entire game and made six saves.
Both teams had several scoring opportunities throughout the game, with Lafayette dominating the action in the second half. Leopard forward Emily Myers had a goal disallowed in the final minute of regulation due to a foul away from the ball.
In overtime, Siena and Lafayette each managed two shots on goal in the first extra session. Neither team produced a scoring chance during the final ten minutes.
Lafayette hosts Patriot League rival Lehigh on Friday at 7 p.m. at Metzgar Field.
