Volleyball Falls to Rider 3-0

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette fell to Rider in volleyball action for the second time this season 3-0 (30-20, 30-28 and 30-13) on Wednesday night.

For Lafayette (1-14), Caroline Eshman's (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) 10 kills and Heidi Olichwier's (Arlington Heights, Ill/Buffalo Grove) 19 assists and 13 digs were the only bright spots.

Junior Maria Kinzel (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) chipped in with 13 digs as well.

A team hitting percentage of .038 did the Leopards in, on top of Rider (4-13) having three players record double-digit kills.

Sophomore Jacyln Levi led the Broncs with 14 kills and 16 digs.

Lafayette travels to Holy Cross on Friday and Army on Saturday for a weekend of Patriot League action; both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
